Focus on the Family announced it will add a new radio series based on a live-action film series this summer, “The Last Chance Detectives,” featuring voice talent of Daryl Sabara of Spy Kids and June Lockhart of Lost in Space and Lassie.

Emmy Award-winning producer John Fornof worked on the series, which will be introduced through another Focus on the Family series he worked on, “Adventures in Odyssey,” a 12-week special about four teenagers that solve mysteries in the small town of Ambrosia, Arizona.

"Working on The Last Chance Detectives was a lot like the series itself,” recalled Fornof, “exciting action (12 shows in six weeks), faith-building lessons (we prayed a lot) and a twist of mystery (we often asked ourselves ‘will it all come together?’”

“But with God's help, we crossed the finish line with some really great shows!”

“The Last Chance Detectives” will be introduced during the four-week crossover episode, “The Day Ambrosia Stood Still.” The series was originally part of as a live-action film series and the three original episodes will re-release on DVD this summer.
