Four-Time All-Pro Linebacker NaVorro Bowman Signs One-Year Deal With the Oakland Raiders

Well, it didn't take long for NaVorro Bowman to find a new team and he does not even have to leave the Bay Area.

The Oakland Raiders have announced that they have signed Bowman and they released linebacker Tyrell Adams to make room for him on the roster.

The team didn't reveal the financial details of the deal, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has reported that the four-time All-Pro inside linebacker signed a one-year deal worth three million dollars to join the Raiders. ESPN's Adam Schefter also reported the same thing.

"He's a veteran guy," Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio said on Monday, via the Mercury News. "He's played a lot of good ball over the years. We're excited to have him. We're a little green at the linebacker position, so to add somebody with the experience that he had, we think it's a nice addition for us, so we'll get him up to speed and see how quickly we can get him on the field," he continued.

According to Rapoport, the Dallas Cowboys have scheduled a visit with Bowman as well, but the Raiders never gave them the chance to meet the three-time Pro Bowler.

Bowman was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 2010 draft and he has played his entire career with the team before they released him last Friday, per his request.

The Raiders still haven't decided if Bowman will play or not this Thursday when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs at home. However, the linebacker has noted that he's prepared to suit up for the team if he's called upon despite the quick turnaround.

"If I'm prepared enough, I'll definitely try to give it a shot. Hey, I'm going to show you something," Bowman said, according to ESPN.

Bowman had 38 tackles and one pass defensed in five games with the 49ers this season.
