Rapper French Montana is questioned by police

Rapper French Montana recently spoke out regarding a shooting that occurred outside of his tour bus after his concert in Pennsylvania on Thursday.

Two men were shot during an alleged dispute amongst fans outside of a Holiday Inn Express where Montata's tour bus was parked. Jowann King, 26, who had attended Montana's show at The Theater of the Living Arts, died after being shot in the stomach, and another man remains in a stable condition after the shooting, according to TMZ.

"My bus was located in the vicinity of the incident that took place last night in Philadelphia. I had a peaceful concert and was not involved... My deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to the families of the victims, as well as all of those who were affected," Montana tweeted on Friday.

The 28-year-old, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, was interviewed by Philadelphia detectives and police have established that the rapper had no direct involvement in the shooting.

"Nobody got time for this s---," Montana wrote in a photo caption alongside of photo taken of the rapper being questioned at a local police station.

"They are still interviewing a ton of people," Philadelphia Police spokesperson Officer Christine O'Brien told MTV. "From what we were told he [Montana] was on the tour bus at the time and was not even aware of the shooting. The captain [in charge of the investigation] said everyone in [Montana's] group was more than cooperative with police."

In light of the shooting Montana's Allston, Massachusetts show was canceled Friday. However, the rapper will resume his tour in New York City on March 4.

Montana is renowned for his collaborations with other big name rappers including Drake, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross.

Like Montana, Ross, whose real name William Leonard Roberts II, was recently involved in a shooting in January, but in the incident, he was the alleged target of the gunman.

The 36-year-old had partied with Montana during birthday celebrations in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. when he was targeted while leaving the event. Ross immediately tried to flee the scene by speeding away from the gunfire, but the rapper crashed into a nearby building, and eventually police were called.
