From CBS 'Super Girl' Will Fly to The CW and Join the Band of Superheroes in 'Arrowverse' for the Most Ambitious Crossover

Four worlds in one epic crossover of the year.

With the warm reception of DC fans to the season one of "Super Girl" starring Melissa Benoist as Kent Clark's, also known as Superman, little cousin the Season 21 was given a go signal that aired early this week, but not with its original home network, CBS. Entitled "Adventures of Supergirl" the Kryptonian female superhero flew to her new home, the CW, to join the array of metahumans also known as superheroes, with its first two episodes already out.

New home for Supergirl

After the smooth network crossover, Supergirl will enter the "Arrowverse" where several other superheroes like The Flash, Black Canary, and of course Arrow's king, Oliver Queen, are already waiting. In an interview with the Entertainment Week executive producer Mark Guggenheim said that this epic crossover between four independent superhero series is their most ambitious move yet, as far as crossovers are concerned.

"This year, we're doing by far the most ambitious crossover we've ever done. It's basically a huge three-part story that also brings in Supergirl, so it's crossing over all four shows. It's telling one big epic movie of a story. It's not setting up any other spin-offs, it's just big, bombastic, huge action," he said.

Four worlds will collide

These superheroes from four different worlds will have to band together as news of an impending alien attack headed their way reached the ears of Starling City's Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell. These alien race, called the Denominator or dominion, has set their course towards earth to capture and harvest the metahumans hiding amongst the people of the planet. The aliens are set to harvest the metagene, the important chromosomal property present in every superhero that's allowed them to be strong, that these super humans possess to incorporate into their own super alien army.

To save humanity

To do that, the superheroes will have to cooperate with each other, something the viewers will have to find out since during the airing of the episode because as rumor has it, Oliver Queen is not keen on the presence of Supergirl.

Entitled The Invasion, all superheroes from "Arrow, "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow," and now their newest recruit "Supergirl" in a weeklong episode. Following the success of the first two crossovers of "Arrow" Guggenheim is also expecting this epic four-world crossover to be a blast. Whether it is a bang or a dud, fans will still have something to look forward to.
