'Frozen 2' Release Date Rumors: Disney Not Yet Fully Committed to Sequel

Disney's movie "Frozen" has taken the world by storm with its unique story and interesting twists. Its huge success left fans eager for another helping of the animation. But Disney has yet to confirm if a second movie is in the making. In fact, the company has been silent about the whole issue, and has only released non-definitive answers to the wild rumors.

In a statement given by Cinema Blend, "Frozen 2 seems inevitable. It's just not official. We reached out to Disney, who had no official comment on the state of Frozen 2. But the writing's clearly on the wall."

Around the time of the Academy Awards, at which the movie received two accolades, directors Christopher Buck and Jennifer Lee discussed the idea of a second "Frozen."

Forbes later sees it as another issue of "artistic integrity."

"There's a lot of active development. You will see Frozen in more places than you see today. ... This has real franchise potential. We expect to see not just new product but continued interest in this and continued impact on the bottom line for quite awhile. Its success speaks volumes on the future of animation at our company," Iger said.

All conjectures about the plot of the second movie -- some have suggested Elsa finding her true love or Anna having a story of her own -- would be just pure speculation at this point.
