Fuller Theological Seminary’s Brehm Center to Expand Impact With Grant from Luce Foundation
Luce Foundation contributed a $300,000 grant to enable Fuller Theological Seminary’s Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts to expand the impact of its arts programs.
“These resources will enable us to engage world class scholars in dialogue about theology and the arts, and to draw on the resources of gifted doctoral students who will add fresh insight to our programs,” says Clayton Schmit, academic director of the Brehm Center.
The grant will fund library resources for programs in worship, theology, and the arts, scholarships for PhD students pursuing the arts program, a research group in film, theology, and the church, and a research project for visual in worship and spirituality.

J. Frederick Davison, executive director of the Brehm Center, commented, “It provides much needed funding that is crucial to the vitality and growth of our program.”
The Center has been equipping Christian leaders by offering special events, sponsoring research, lectures, conferences, workshops, and working collaboratively with arts and educational institutions.
The grant will be used over the next three years to support new arts programs and fund it’s classes, resources, and faculty at Fuller Seminary, the largest multidenominational seminary in the world with nearly 5,000 students.
