'G.I. Joe 3' Movie Release Date, Plot Rumors: Joes to Face Fearsome Villain Twins?
The sequel of the hit action movie franchise "G.I. Joe" will have Dwayne Johnson's Roadblock as its main lead. Other than that, it hasn't been known who the Joes will face in the upcoming "G.I. Joe 3."
But that might not be the case anymore. Recent talks now indicate that the next film will now bring out the "terrible twin twosome" Tomax and Xamot.
Film Divider stated that the coming installment will see the combined powers of the "sinister split zygotes."
"It's certainly not a rumor out from left field, especially given the state in which the lineup of the G.I. Joe rogues gallery was left after Retaliation was said and done. (Destro out of commission, Cobra Commander in hiding, mainstays, Zartan and Firefly definitely dead.) Clearly, the time has come for the deadly dynamic duo also known as "The Crimson Twins" to show up in the movie canon," the site stated.
Screen Rant, meanwhile said in their report that other new set of characters are also heading in the upcoming blockbuster.
As said by the website, M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) leader Matt Trakker's participation is to help the team face against V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem).
"It's possible that Trakker's involvement means that both M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M. will be on the scene in G.I. Joe 3, but he could also start out as part of the main team and perhaps splinter off to form his own group in future sequels," Screen Rant said.
The unnamed "G.I. Joe" third sequel is slated to open in theaters sometime in 2016..
