The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update that brings the multi-window feature to the device will be available Feb. 6 in Canada.

The news was announced through the company's Canada Facebook page. The update will allow the Galaxy Note 2 to multi-task by using the split screen feature that is currently available in other countries. The first carriers expected to receive the update in Canada are Rogers, Bell, WIND, and Telus.

The Galaxy Note 2 price dropped last week to $199 for customers looking to purchase the device through Amazon Wireless.

The retailer is cutting the price of the smartphone-tablet hybrid and offering it with a new 2-year contract on Verizon. The discount also applies to upgrades.

This Galaxy Note 2 normally retails for $299 and on T-Mobile it will run customers $370, so this is a great deal for those looking to save money and purchase the phablet. It is currently available through other major carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular.

Sprint is also offering a great deal through Amazon Wireless selling its variant of the Galaxy Note 2 for $99. The AT&T version costs $249.99 through the site.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 2 in two new colors including Ruby Wine and Amber Brown models this week in South Korea.

The first sightings of the Amber Brown Galaxy Note 2 took place earlier this month.

The Ruby Wine and Amber Brown Galaxy Note 2 models were first discovered in a leaked ad photo from Korea at the end of last month.

The Galaxy Note 2 launched in the fall of 2012 and has been one of Samsung's most successful devices to date. The smartphone-tablet hybrid has already sold over 5 million units since its official launch. It is currently available in Marble White and Pebble Blue in the U.S. and can be purchased on all major carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint.
