The new sale is good for those who were left disappointed when Google removed some of these devices from its online store. The only models currently available in Google Play are the Galaxy S4, HTC One M8 and the Moto G.

The Galaxy S5 Google Play edition might launch sometime soon as a new leaked image of the device surfaced on the internet this week.

The device recently passed through Bluetooth certification and made a brief appearance in the Google Play store support page. @evleaks added to those other sightings by posting up this new image on Twitter earlier today. The GPe looks identical to the regular version.

Samsung's Google Play version of the S4 sold pretty well so keeping in step by launching an S5 model would be good for the company. HTC already followed up its M7 GPe with an M8 version. Its Korean competitor seems to be taking its time.

Google Play Editions allow smartphone users to own some of the most popular high-end devices on the market running a pure Android platform. They eliminate the bloatware loaded onto the handsets by their manufacturers and carriers.
