The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0 could be released in black as the device was spotted donning the color in a recently leaked photo.

This version that appeared in the picture had a silver trim and a white home button. Other than that, it is basically the same as the white model. The device will launch with Android 4.2.2, JellyBean, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, a 5-megapixel rear shooter, an 8-inch display with 1200 x 800 resolution, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM, LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Galaxy Note 3 8.0 is expected to be released sometime during the summer. It might be unveiled at an upcoming media event set to take place on June 20. Samsung will also be revealing other devices there.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and 10.1 models were introduced in the beginning of this month.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 features the rumored Intel CPU, which is a dual-core chip running at 16.GHz. The tablet also comes with 1GB RAM and the choice of 16 or 32GB of internal memory.

Other specifications include a 10.1-inch WXGA TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front shooter. It also comes with some of the popular features also found on the Galaxy S4 including Smart Remote that allows users to control their televisions from their handheld device.

Samsung announced that it plans to release both of these tablets globally sometime before the end of this month. However, the company did not divulge pricing information.

The first Galaxy Tab 3 to be introduced was the 7-inch version, which made its debut earlier this year. This model had specifications that were a bit underwhelming and left fans waiting for these more powerful alternatives. The company is also rumored to be coming out with a plus variant of the of the Galaxy Tab 3 models.
