'Gambit' cast rumors: Anna Paquin will NOT be in the film

It was recently revealed that the upcoming "Gambit" film will not be featuring Anna Paquin.

The "True Blood" star has starred in several installments of the "X-Men" franchise such as "X-Men," "X2:X-Men United," "X-Men: The Last Stand," and "X-Men: Days of Future Past." She played the role of Rogue, who is the love interest of Gambit in the comics. It was reported that she confirmed that she will not be appearing in the upcoming "Gambit" film. She answered a fan on Twitter who asked if she will be in "Gambit." She merely replied, "No." With that, it can be confirmed that Rogue and Gambit will not be having their love story in the upcoming film.

Comic books fans will know that the two have an interesting relationship, which is also known as the best love story in the Marvel universe. More news revealed that the movie will be delayed. It was confirmed that the previous director of the film, Rupert Wyatt, had left the project, as reported by Inquisitr. Wyatt explained that he left the project due to timing conflicts. He said, "I was very much looking forward to working with my friend Channing and the team at Fox, but regrettably a push in the start date now conflicts with another project. I thank them for the opportunity, and I know that Gambit will make a terrific film."

Fortunately, Tatum will still be involved in the project, despite rumors that stated he will be leaving "Gambit." However, fans have been criticizing the decision for his role in the movie. Fans were stating that the movie might not be a success due to Tatum's poor acting skills. Meanwhile, it was reported that Tatum has been working hard for the role, improving his Cajun accent.
