'Game of Thrones' Cast Member Lena Headey Accuses Harvey Weinstein of Sexual Harassment

Over the past week, several women have spoken up against producer Harvey Weinstein over accusations of sexual harassment. Now, "Game of Thrones" actress Lena Headey has joined the plenty of women who have bravely revealed the inappropriate actions of the main in question.

Revealing that the first time she met Harvey was at The Venice Film Festival, she said that the famed producer asked her to take a walk with him down to the water. She agreed, but at some point, he made a suggestive comment, which she laughed off as she thought that it was a joke at first.

And then, Headey met Weinstein for the second time. It was a breakfast meeting that took place in Los Angeles, wherein the discussion revolved around films and filmmaking. Believing that the man would not dare try anything with her again, she went to the meeting.

"He asked me a few questions about the state of my love life. I shifted the conversation back to something less personal. Then he went to the loo. He came back and said, let's go up to the room, I want to give you a script," she wrote in a series of Twitter posts.

"We walked to the lift and the energy shifted, my whole body went into high alert, the lift was going up and I said to Harvey, I'm not interested in anything other than work, please don't think I got in here with you for any other reason, nothing is going to happen I said. I don't know what possessed me to speak out at that moment, only that I had such a strong sense of don't come near me," the actress added.

Harvey was allegedly silent after this but continued to lead her into his room after they got out of the elevator. Fortunately, something went wrong with his keycard, preventing them from entering the room and preventing anything bad to happen to Headey.

The 44-year-old actress then admitted that after everything that happened, she cried inside her car.

The "Game of Thrones" star's revelation comes after more than 40 other women have accused the producer of sexual harassment and assault. According to The Guardian's report, these have resulted to Weinstein getting expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and being dismissed by the board of his company.

Other personalities who have spoken up include Minka Kelly, Cara Delevingne, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, and Rose McGowan, to name a few.

Despite all the allegations that have come out over the past several days, Weinstein has denied sexually harassing and assaulting these women and insists that all the relationships were consensual.
