'Game of Thrones' Movie Rumors, Update: Tywinn Lannister Actor Confirms A Big Screen Adaptation of the Hit TV Series
The "Game of Thrones" world was rocked upon hearing the news that the massively-popular fantasy drama series might end up with a feature film. Talks have now been confirmed by a cast member who's character was killed on the show.
Charles Dance, one of the celebrated cast members in the HBO TV series, has implied that there is now a possibility for a big screen adaptation.
Tywinn Lannister actor revealed some hefty amount of information that seems enough to raise the hype.
"There's talk of eventually trying to do a feature film," the 68-year-old actor told The Daily Beast.
But with the complexity of the story, the "Underworld: Awakening" star admitted that he didn't know which particular storyline could be implemented in the purported movie.
"But I don't know which of the storylines. There's so much to cram into a film," Dance said.
The genius behind the fiction, George R.R. Martin, had previously teased that the TV show could certainly be adapted for a full-length feature. However, it all depends on how long the HBO program runs.
"It all depends on how long the main series runs," Martin remarked in March. "Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10?"
"It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours," the author dished out. "Those dragons get real big, you know," he joked.
For the meantime, HBO's "Game of Thrones" Season 5 is slated to return on air this coming spring of 2015.
