'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Casting News, Rumors: Fansite Reveals a Slew of New Characters Slated to Appear in Upcoming Chapter

While the public still can't move on with the tragic ending of HBO's "Game of Thrones" Season 5, casting rumors seeped in online pointing out to a handful of new characters bound to appear in the show's upcoming Season 6.

Fan site Watchers on the Wall recently shared some information taken from their "reliable source" that casting for the new season is currently undergoing. The informant revealed that the showrunners are "specifically" on the lookout for either "Irish or Northern Irish" actors to fill the roles of these new characters.

As of the moment, the publication only has the details of the character names and their corresponding descriptions. To mention a few:

Qhogo and Akrat – the show is currently on the lookout for actors that are "tall, confident, with swagger and linguistic bravado" which are of "mixed or other non-white" ethnicity.

Bower – a "powerless servant, numb to the horror he serves." The actor for this role requires having a "Northern or Midland English accent."

Lachlan – to appear in 2 episodes of Season 6, this character is the "big leader of a group of renegades who have turned on the land they swore to protect." Members include a "Flynn" and a "Japeth."

Legendary Fighter – although the character's ethnicity/race isn't specified, the actor for this one needs to be in his "thirties or forties" with an "impressive swordsman" skills.

Lord of Noble Northern House – this character's role is said to be "an impactful one." "He's described as a massive bear of a man with a beard and temper to match, and hatred that run deep, and he can be violent." He rules a "distinguished house in the very far North"

Lord of Northern Stronghold – another lord hat is "ruthless and calculating." "The frightening lord rules a vassal household with a castle stronghold. He'll be in 3 episodes this year, with 20 days of filming this summer and fall," the site said.

On towards the list are the characters mentioned such as:

  • Hunter
  • Submissive Maester
  • Green rectuit
  • Sympathiser 1,2 &3
  • Housemaid
  • Father

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 is expected to premiere in spring 2016.
