'Game of Thrones' Season 6: Sophie Turner Teases Sansa Stark's Redemption

"Game of Thrones" season 6 is still a few months away from its premiere, but fans are already itching for spoilers, and Sophie Turner has revealed a few details on what awaits her character in the HBO series.

Sophie Turner's character Sansa Stark has experienced tragedy after tragedy since the beginning of the series. However, "Game of Thrones" season 6 may finally see Sansa fighting back and gaining redemption after escaping from his evil second husband Ramsay Bolton, according to Nerd Core Movement.

During the finale of season 5, Theon Greyjoy helped Sansa escape from Ramsay's abusive hands and from Winterfell. Recently, Turner teased that her character will finally gain the courage to fight back and "Game of Thrones" season 6 will be the best season for her so far, the Hollywood Life reports.

"I mean this season is a really, really big one for Sansa. It's probably her best season yet. It's her really coming into her own," said Turner during the SAG Awards party on Jan. 29. " She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it's really good."

Turner explained that the series of abuse that Sansa had endured during the last five seasons will only serve to build up to that moment. The actress said her character will reach her boiling point and will resolve to give herself the respect she rightly deserves, the report relays.

Considering that the story has veered off from George R.R. Martin's books, fans have yet to know where fate will take Sansa and Theon. What is known is that the upcoming installment may be the most shocking so far, based on Turner's revelations.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 is set to premiere on Sunday, Apr. 24 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
