'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Spoilers: Jon Snow Is Rumored to be Coming Back to Winterfell?

Season 6 of "Game of Thrones" is due to premiere on HBO by the first or second quarter of next year, and a major spoiler has emerged pointing to Jon Snow returning to Winterfell.

After the shocking death of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in the "Game of Thrones" Season 5 finale, having been ganged up on and stabbed by members of the Night Watch, speculations have been running rife about whether he really did die in the show. But a major spoiler has emerged showing Jon Snow is alive and well, and will be reappearing in Season 6 of the award-winning fantasy epic.

The "Game of Thrones" online community, "Watchers on the Wall," has confirmed the news after information was received from the show's Northern Ireland set describing a scene filmed involving several members of the cast, including Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon), Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen), and Jon Snow.

The set, located in Moneyglass, a small village in Northern Ireland where the Winterfell courtyard scenes have been filmed, has reportedly been the site of a rehearsal and the actual shooting.

In a scene fraught with tension between the characters, a giant, said to be Wun Wun from Season 5, attempts to force its way inside the gates, with the people inside Winterfell fighting it off.

In the natural progression of the series, it would be understandable if a scene involving the dead Jon Snow would be a flashback or dream sequence. However, Sansa, Ramsay Bolton, Littlefinger, and Wun Wun are present in the scene, as well, indicating that the show has moved forward, and Jon Snow remains alive.

The news coincides with earlier spoilers pointing out Sansa will be joining forces with Jon after having escaped Winterfell with Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) last season, with both Jon and Sansa attacking Winterfell to reclaim it from the Boltons.

The question over how Jon Snow escaped death remains unanswered, however, with rumors of Wun Wun carrying him off to the wildlings for healing as he was bleeding to death in the snow a speculation that will only be satisfied when "Game of Thrones" Season 6 returns in late April or May of 2016.
