Game of Thrones – Season 7 Potential Spoilers: Littlefinger's Future Might Be Seen Out the Moon Door, Fan Theorizes

Littlefinger's Death Might Include Being Pushed through the Moon Door by Sansa's Manipulative Skills

No one really knows where Littlefinger's loyalty lies, as die-hard fans of "Game of Thrones" have known since the beginning of the show how manipulative and selfish Petyr Baelish is. But fans might go easy on him upon knowing his past and his foreseeable future.

Peter Baelish's Past

He was sent to live with the Tullys at a young age and was constantly reminded of his family's small fortune. There, he earned the friendship of Catelyn Stark and Lysa Arryn (daughters of Hoster Tully) and fell in love with Catelyn and was fallen in love by Lysa.

Petyr's affection wasn't reciprocated by Caitlyn, and Lysa's affection wasn't reciprocated by Petyr, which led to disaster. Petyr worked his way, earned Jon Arryn's favor and was appointed Master of Coin three years after Arryn brought him to King's Landing.

After several death-plotting and betrayals later, Petyr became Lord of Harrenhal, making him a high lord. Despite his numerous accounts of betrayal, he helps Jon Snow and Sansa Stark win the North from the Boltons.

Petyr Baelish's Future

A theory by a Reddit user about Littlefinger's fate went viral. According to user Fire_away_Fire_away, Petyr will be sent out of the Moon Door by—guess who? Sansa. The Reddit user theorized that Sansa will realize that Petyr's purpose has been served, and she does not need him anymore; she just needs the Vale army. "Peter's sigil is the Mocking bird, which works from two perspectives: they are natural prey for falcons and they fly. Remember when Robin threw the toy mockingbird out of the moon door? Foreshadowing," the user explained.

Another thing that the user pointed out was Petyr being too thick, saying that "the realm's greatest manipulator with a sigil that represents his deceptive nature will be undone by a dimwit who doesn't understand what he's doing." The theory goes on saying that Arryn's son, Robin, is easy to manipulate, and his main purpose in life is pushing people through the moon door, which then leads to the conclusion that Sansa can easily manipulate Robin unknowingly in avenging his mother's death by pushing Littlefinger out the door.

Yet Petyr is too smart and manipulative to end this way as Business Insider puts out. Sansa's emotions are too tangled up for Petyr; he did save her after all. While fans debate on this theory, Petyr is the best fit for the next season's unremorsefully bad villain now that Ramsay Bolton and Joffrey Baratheon are gone. Meanwhile, Season 7 will start filming this September as showrunners informed that the filming schedule got delayed.
