George Rowe: Think About That

Think About That is the debut album of Rocketown Records artist George Rowe who traded in his law degree for a signing with Rocketown Records in April. But with the release of Think About That, there is no regret about that decision. The album tracks include Rowe’s single “Everlasting,” which hit #5 at INSP Christian Radio and #29 at AC Christian Radio one month fresh out.

Rowe’s style is soulful pop R&B, which he attributes influences from Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. All his songs are well-written with thoughtful lyrics that take the listener deep into his life’s experiences, especially the single “Everlasting.” “Broken” is a remake of a song by Kristy Starling, but gives heartful melodies as Rowe sings of his longing for a deeper spirituality. "One Miracle More" and "We Exalt You" bring R&B into praise and worship. The album ends in a very sweet tone with “My Prayer,” which really is a personal prayer from Rowe.

The album is very personal. That’s what I like about it. It bridges Christian themes with popular urban music styles to create an album that is very tasteful. Though there is nothing brand new about Rowe’s music, his smooth voice will sure find its own place among other Christian artists. Think About That is not something you have to think twice about in order to buy.
