I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
One of Satan's favorite people is a Christian who is lukewarm. Why?
Because that person is NOT causing him any problems. In fact, that person
is driving people away from Jesus. Think about it.
Have you ever bought anything from a salesman who was bored with his job and
gave you a mild, half-hearted sales pitch? Is there anything more boring
than a football game where no one cheers? Is there anything tougher for the
actors in a stage play than an audience that doesn't respond? Is there
anything more sleep-inducing than a speaker who talks in a monotone? Is
there anything so uninspiring as tepid coffee? Or a soft drink that is room
temperature and flat? Get the picture?
Jesus wants us to get hot for Him. Hot, hot, hot! Sold out. One hundred
percent. Totally bananas! In everything you do. In everything you say.
In everything you think. In everything you are... He wants you to be
inspired... be enthusiastic... be in love... be hot!
