While the role of Sigourney Weaver has not yet been revealed, it was evident that her role in the classic movie was vital. She took on the role of an individual who possessed by Zuul, who influenced her to open the gateway to a demonic world in order to destruct the world.

Her character was also known as the love interest of Peter Venkman, which was carried into the film's sequel. With that, it was also shared that Bill Murray, who played the role of Peter Venkman in the classic film, will be making a cameo as well.

The news of these cameos will surely excite fans of the franchise. However, not all news concerning the upcoming reboot have been positive. The franchise has been receiving negative criticism on its decision to create a reboot.

Nevertheless, it was said that the "Ghostbusters" reboot will take its turn to push the story forward and bring it to a modern setting so that it can be appreciated by a new generation.

The film will star comediennes Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones.

"Ghostbusters" will premiere in theaters on July 15, 2016.
