Though the movie cast consists of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, it will mainly focus on one character. McCarthy's role will not be shortchanged though because she is the leader of the group in the film.

There is no escaping a comparison of the latest film to the original one, yet the "Ghostbusters" reboot is impressive since it stands on its own as a marvelously cast, supernatural comedy.

What Do Critics Say?

The movie has a great cast of females who show a different chemistry throughout the film and is doing a good job. It is not so much on the actors but rather on the pacing and editing of the film that might drag it.

Terri Schwartz of IGN said that the film is "just fine, though not for the reasons many would expect." She also added, "Unfortunately, it's the pacing and editing that is the biggest problem with the movie," and concluded "'Ghostbusters' is a comedy first, and for all that haters blasted the movie for starring four women, it's actually director Paul Feig who doesn't seem like he's the right fit for the series."

Furthermore, William Bibbiani of Crave Online said that this new Ghostbusters movie is smart and exciting and is a solid new entry into the classic series. The "Ghostbusters" film by Paul Feig has just enough changes about the original concept to give it a new feel, but the thought of the story is the same.

The film is still about the blue- collar heroes, who are doing great things. They do it regardless if they get the respect or not because that's just what they want to do.The film is for anybody who has been thought of as making a mistake for doing the things that they do. And for Bibbiani, it's just a wonderful offering.

On the other hand, Jen Yamato of The Daily Beast added, "Ghostbusters die-hards might disagree, but the remake is conceived with more complex aims than the first two films." Yamato also said the young generation has been given a Ghostbusters movie of their own.

When will the movie come out?

There may be a lot to talk about on the "Ghostbusters" reboot, and it will always be compared with the original film. However, it is best to check it out. The film is set to be released on July 15, 2016 in the United States.
