The publication went on to piece together the puzzle as to whose name belongs to whom. As found out by the website, Kristen Wiig is Erin Gilbert, Melissa McCarthy is Abby Yates, Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, and Leslie Jones is Patty Tolan.

Collider actually took hints from the official image recently-released by Sony which showed Wiig and McCarthy's character names partially-displayed on their badges. Jones' necklace, on the other hand, reads "Patty."

Other than the names, not much has been known about the new Ghostbusters. It is expected from Sony to release an official summary of the film any time now.

Nevertheless, earlier reports indicated that the film highlights on the reunion of two women who wrote a book about the existence of ghosts.

Filming for the title has already been spotted taking place around New York and Boston where a lot of behind-the-scene photos are being shot. It is expected to wrap up just in time for its July 22, 2016 premiere showing.
