'Gilmore Girls' Sequel Updates: Christopher to Cause Problems between Lorelai and Luke

Christopher (David Sutcliffe) will still be an important part of Lorelai's (Lauren Graham) life in the potential second part of the "Gilmore Girls" sequel on Netflix.

Spoilers for season 2 of "A Year in the Life" indicate that though Lorelai and Luke (Scott Patterson) are already married, they will still encounter problems, as an average couple would. If there is one thing that Luke has always been jealous of, it is Lorelai's relationship with her former partner. Christopher was the reason why she broke off her engagement to Max Medina (Scott Cohen). He was also partly why Lorelai had second thoughts about pursuing a romance with Luke in the past.

Though Christopher is obviously part of Lorelai's past, his impact in her life was tremendous. He was her first love, and if she did not run away when she got pregnant, their parents would have pushed them to get married.

More than a couple of times, Luke has expressed how jealous he was of Lorelai's treatment of Christopher. The other man was always welcome at the Gilmore home. It is expected that even though Lorelai is already married, he will still visit and check up on her once in a while. If this happens, fans wonder if Luke will be able to act civilly.

Meanwhile, fans of the series are still waiting for updates on the revival's continuation. According to Entertainment Weekly, if there is one thing that needs to be focused upon in season 2, it is the iconic autumn feel that endeared the show to many viewers. It was noted that although the characters drive the story, it was the nostalgic activities associated with fall, like crunching leaves and smelling snow, that reel the viewers into the show.
