Gionee M7 Specs, Release Date: Leaked Live Images Show Flagship From Every Side

The Gionee M7 shows off its edge-to-edge design in a new batch of live images, which arrived hours after a press render found its way online.

The latest leak involving Gionee's next-generation offering was found on Weibo and shows the handset's thin forehead and chin with almost nonexistent sides.

In terms of the bezel-less design, the Gionee M7 will remind some users of the LG G6, which is the first device this year to shave off the bezels.

It uses onscreen navigation buttons from the Android software. This allowed the Chinese tech firm to further slice off the bottom bezel, which bears the Gionee branding and nothing more. The top bezel houses the front-facing camera as well as the earpiece and some sensors.

On the back, the Gionee flagship sports a dual camera setup on the top-right hand side with an LED flash placed next to it, all of which arranged horizontally. A fingerprint scanner can be seen just below them.

All of these components sit on a textured metal unibody colored in blue, which is one of the variants the Gionee M7 is expected to come in. This is the same model that was shown in the press render too.

With regard to the specs and features, the Gionee smartphone is set to come with a 6-inch display with full high-definition (HD) resolution. It should look tall on its almost bezel-free front making for a premium appearance.

Under the hood, the Gionee M7 will be equipped with MediaTek Helio P30 processor bolstered by 6 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 64 GB of storage.

One of the cameras on the back will reportedly be at 16 MP while the front is 8 MP. Running the show out of the box is the Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The Gionee M7 is expected to be unveiled on Sept. 25 in Thailand.
