'Girls' Season 6 Episode 8: Hannah Gets Some Surprising News From Adam

The upcoming episode of "Girls" season 6 will see Adam (Adam Driver) giving Hannah (Lena Dunham) some surprising news as Jessa (Jemima Kirke) takes a day off and spends it alone.

The next episode is titled "What Will We Do This Time About Adam?" and its synopsis states that Adam's news will come as a shock to Hannah. Meanwhile, Ray (Alex Karpovsky) has an oral history project and enlists Shoshanna's (Zosia Mamet) help with it. While she initially toils through it, she soon finds renewed interest in the venture after an unexpected meeting with her old boss, Abigail (Aidy Bryant).

And while the synopsis does not go into detail about Adam's news to Hannah, the teaser trailer that was released does provide a little insight. The clip opens with Adam talking to Jessa about some things that he needs to explore.

"I'm not sure what Hannah's gonna even say, but I know what I'm gonna say," he says. Jessa encourages him to do whatever it is he thinks he needs to do, although the look on her face does not seem to be positive. The scene cuts to Hannah in a grocery or convenience store as Adam finds her there.

"Look, Hannah, we have a lot of history that we can't seem to erase. We can't let each other go, as much as we try," Adam tells her, before asking if they can head to her house. Hannah understandably does not know what is going on and tells him that she is confused.

There are only three episodes left in the sixth and final season of "Girls." Fans seem to think that the show is bound to end with Hannah and Adam back together. Other theories posit that Adam will still be with Jessa, while there are those who believe that neither girl will end up with him. It remains to be seen which theory will stick, especially since Hannah is expecting a child.

"Girls" season 6 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT on HBO.
