Glee’s Mark Salling ‘More Productive' After Breaking Pelvis

Mark Salling assured fans that he is all right, and might even be taking advantage of his injury, after it was revealed that he broke his pelvis while playing a game of basketball.

The mishap’s news emerged from Twitter, where the “Glee” star is updating fans on his condition. The first piece of information about his injury came Wednesday, when the 29-year-old actor tweeted: “so apparently ive fractured my pelvis. one of the pitfalls of being a basketball weekend warrior. and guess what i can do about it? NOTHING!”

Despite admitting that he had trouble sitting, Salling assured fans that he was O.K., and by Thursday, he was even off to the gym for a “light workout,” according to Contact Music. He did not seem willing to share the full extent of the injury, and made light of the issue by posting a picture of himself lying down on a desk and tweeting: "Pelvic injuries are glamorous."

Besides his acting role, Salling is also a singer-songwriter and a composer, which has helped him gain even more recognition. His latest studio album, Pipe Dreams, was released in October of 2010 and reached No. 5 on the United States Heatseekers list.

Fans are posting many inspiring messages on Salling’s Twitter account in the hopes that he heals quickly.
