According to recent rumors, Go Pro Hero 5 will have the capacity to record 8K resolution videos in 30 frames per second. Go Pro Hero 5 will still have 4K video resolution at 60 frames per second for remarkable slow motion vids. 1080p at 240 frames per second is also available.

Rumors also report that the Go Pro Hero 5 will have an improved processor. Details regarding this new processor have not reached the rumor mill yet. However, a rumor reveals the possibility that the action camera will use the powerful A10 fusion chip - the same chip used in the iPhone 7, which makes it tons faster than rival smart phones.

Mirrorless rumors reveal an alleged Go Pro Hero 5 black and details about its specs; including its weight, dimensions, battery, lens, ports, storage, audio, LCD, and WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Go Pro Hero 5 is also rumored to feature Bluetooth 4.0, which makes uploading videos much faster, and a battery that improves the action camera's recording time with 2,800 mAh.

In addition, the Go Pro Hero 5 can also go deeper underwater now at 60 m, compared to the Go Pro Hero 4's waterproof limit of 20 m.

Release Date

The Go Pro Hero 5 is rumored to launch right after the release of GoPro Karma, the company's Drone camera. According to PC Advisor, GoPro Karma will be released on September 19, 2016.

While Go Pro is highly secretive about the design of Karma, a recent revelation shows a US Patent for a Self-Enclosed Air Vehicle designed by Ryan Goldstein, a mechanical engineer hired by the company. The patent may have nothing to do with Karma, or Goldstein's design may also have been used for the drone. We can only speculate for now.

Go Pro Users hope that the release of the Karma drone will coincide, or at least signal, that the Go Pro Hero 5 will soon be distributed. An article in Variety talks about how Go Pro struggled last year in terms of declining revenues and garnering record losses, which prompted chief executive Nick Woodman to re-focus their company's strategies.

Price

As with the previous rumors mentioned in this article, Go Pro hasn't mentioned any pricing yet; although speculation points to anywhere between $400 to $550.
