Christian worship leader-turned-YouTube sensation Chris Picco is not blaming God.

In an emotional speech delivered at the funeral of his wife, Ashley, and young son, Lennon James, at the Loma Linda University Church in California on Saturday, Picco declared: "God had nothing to do with this," as he mourned his tragic loss and prepared to keep on living.

Picco's son, Lennon James Picco, was recently delivered by emergency C-section at 24 weeks. His wife, Ashley, 30, died in her sleep shortly after that. Prior to Lennon's death, Picco was captured in a viral video singing the Beatle's hit song "Blackbird" to his son.

A description on the video explained that: "Lennon's lack of movement and brain activity was a constant concern for the doctors and nurses at Loma Linda University Hospital, where he received the absolute best care available. During the pregnancy, Ashley would often feel Lennon moving to music so Chris asked if he could bring his guitar into the NICU."

Reflecting on his loss Saturday, Picco shifted focus from his pain to something positive.

"One of the themes of our relationship for me and Ashley, we met as a result of a tragic, tragic event. Unspeakable tragedy. That's how we met. And so something good came from something so tragic. And so from this unspeakable [tragedy] that's what I want. I want good to come out of this. So many voices out there that have reached out to me didn't have the support, didn't have the random viral video, didn't have the momentum …," explained Picco.

"I know that God did not compose this. This is not … God had nothing to do with this," declared Picco.
"But I can see Him, tears streaming down his face, beginning to compose, one note at a time, the most beautiful melody that anyone has ever heard. And I don't know what that sounds like, but that's the God that I believe in," he ended before seguing into a beautiful rendition of "This is My Father's World."
