'God of War III' Remastered News: New Trailer Shows Full 1080p/60fps, Pre-Order Incentives Revealed

Fans of "God of War III" may now pre-order copies of the "God of War III" Remastered video game worldwide. As an incentive to those who pre-order and buy their copies now, they will receive the brand new "God of War - Fall of Olympus Dynamic Theme." The game will be available digitally and in stores on July 15 (except for UK and Ireland, which arrives on July 17).

The theme will be available early for buyers from North America, if they pre-order through the PlayStation Network, as it will available on May 26. In addition to the theme, pre-ordering the new game will also bring with it a pair of 90-day rentals for both the original "God of War" and "God of War II" which can be availed of through PlayStation Now, a cloud-based streaming service of Sony Entertainment.

In addition to these pre-order bonuses, a recent trailer of the remastered game has also been released, showing off gameplay in full 1080p and at 60 frames per second. The video gives fans a "sneak peek" at the epic weapons Kratos wields as he battles Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, the iron spike and the chain hook.

The video displayed better graphic detail as Kratos battles foes as he tries to win back his throne as the God of War. Apart from this, the remastered version of the game also includes Photo Mode. This mode allows players to freeze and take photos of action-filled scenes, play around with these using camera and lighting options, and lastly be able to share it with other God of War fans, through the network.

"God of War III" was originally released for the PlayStation 3, but the remastered version was made specifically for the next generation console, the PlayStation 4. Its description in the PlayStation website says: "God of War III Remastered will bring epic battles to life with stunning graphics and an elaborate plot that puts Kratos at the center of carnage and destruction as he seeks revenge against the Gods who have betrayed him."
