Lamborghini commented on the gold-plated car, saying it "is indeed a very sound investment in precious metals and gemstones," with "enormous potential for this value to increase significantly."
Recently, the Lamborghini Egoista was introduced by Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of the company as part of its 50th anniversary celebration.
The new concept car named is aimed at the most self-indulgent millionaires that many envy.
The introduction of the new concept car was just one of the many headlines the event captured, including the moment 350 Lamborghinis drove through Italy to pay tribute to the famed Italian automaker, Auto Car India reported.
The car was designed by Walter De Silva, who drew inspiration for the vehicle from the Apache helicopter. Earlier reports have confirmed the car is made mostly out of carbon fiber and that the cockpit canopy can be removed to create a convertible as well as reduce weight.
