Add one more to the record books. Warriors' own Klay Thompson sank 11 three pointers – the most ever in a Playoffs game – during Game 6 of the 2016 NBA Playoffs against the Thunder and helped extend the series to the decisive Game 7.

Game 7 takes place Monday, May 30 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland and only one team – either Golden State and Oklahoma City – will advance to the NBA Finals to face Cleveland. Klay Thompson was the man of the match who takes much of the credit for helping the Warriors survive another one against a resilient Thunder who led most of Game 6. Thompson finished with 41 points including 19 points in the final quarter and paired with Stephen Curry who finished with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists the "Splash Brothers" were able to deliver once again.

Curry was instrumental in keeping his team composed and focused throughout the nerve-wrecking 4th quarter and the Warriors were ultimately able to bounce back in the final minutes of the 4th quarter and stun the Thunder at their home turf, the Cheaspeake Energy Arena.

Splash Brothers Share Thoughts on Game 6

"We've got a lot of belief and a lot of heart, and we've given ourselves a chance to win this series," Curry said according to a AP report. "That's all we could ask for. There's obviously a lot of excitement, but we still have one job to do," he continued after the game.

Thompson on the other hand shared some words on the game, words that may give us a clue on what happens behind the scenes with Stephen Curry and the Warriors team that make them such a dominant team.

"Steph told me before I went out in the fourth, 'This is your time,"' Thompson said according to the same AP report. "'You know, put on a show out there and have fun.' I took those words to heart, and I just tried to be aggressive," he continued.

This is pure optimism. But also reveals trust, faith and seriousness without being too serious. Perhaps the Warriors did an excellent job in weaving the team based on these precepts? That is what we will see as the series continues.

Future Prospects for Curry and the Warriors

Now, if the Warriors reach the finals and eventually win back-to-back titles this season it may unofficially signal the start of a new Curry, Warriors era – something "Jordanesque". If they lose this championship, Curry and this Warriors team will still be highly regarded as one of the best to ever play the game but still a lot to prove for themselves.

Let's see how history unfolds.
