An unnamed source told Android Police that the large one of the smartwatches will be geared towards sports-minded individuals and may have premium features including GPS, LTE, heart rate tracker and more. The other one will be smaller and will have GPS and mobile data. They will be called under the codename Angelfish and Swordfish. The smartwatches will run with Google Wear 2.0 which offers better support, have more watch faces options and improved messaging.

The outlet wrote that they are confident that the Google Android Wear rumors are true as they have confirmed with multiple sources.

Android Wear Watch Angelfish

They added that the larger watch is codenamed Angelfish and it has a rounded design with three buttons used to operate it. The Angelfish apparently has a thickness of 14mm and maybe housing an LTE chipset. It may come in various colors but the outlet says that the primary color will be dark gray.

Android Wear Watch Swordfish

The Swordfish is around 10.6-mm thick and will reportedly have a basic shape and features. It could look similar to the Pebble Time Round but sans the big bezel. It only has a single button and is comparable to Apple Watch's design. The smartwatch will apparently come in three colors including rose gold, titanium and silver.

Android Wear Smartwatch Release Date and Pricing

It is unknown when the smartwatches will be released by Google if ever the rumors are true. According to The Verge, the devices could be released after the Android Wear 2.0 and the next flagship Nexus phones. Pricing for the smartwatches have not been revealed.

Android Wear Powered by Google Assistant

Tech Radar notes that Android Wear fans may be excited about the two possible Nexus smartwatches because of its being powered by artificial intelligence – Google Assistant. Through its inclusion, users can issue specific and complex commands to the device. Google Assistant can be tasked to do sorts of things including taking note of schedules or ordering things online.
