Google Nexus 6 Release Date: Rumors Roundup for New Device

One of the most talked about devices in the tech world news is the rumored Google Nexus 6 which is rumored to be called Nexus X. There's been a debate whether new Nexus flagship will be manufactured by Motorola or HTC. But speculations based from "strong" evidences suggested it would likely be from the Motorola factory.

Based from this assumption, the Nexus 6/X will possibly don similar appearance to the new Moto X which has a 5.2-inch screen display. However, it will take flight from the Full HD resolution specs to the latest QHD screen that would boast a 2, 560 x 1, 400 pixel resolutions.

According to the ExpertReviews.co.uk., the Nexus X will have a much stronger processor than that of the Moto X, which has a Snapdragon 801 under the hood. They add further that the purported device might run in a 64-bit Snapdragon 808 or 810 and Android L software.

Further reports from the IBTimes indicated that the Nexus 6 could come head to head with other big time flagships like the HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z3, and even the Galaxy Note 4. They suggested that along with the latest Snapdragon chipset, it will also arrive with Adreno 420 graphics engine and 3GB of RAM.

They added that it will be made available in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB models. Although, there hasn't been any word if the smartphone will have a microSD slot to cater bigger memory needs.

When it comes to the release date, it has been previously reported that the Nexus 6 might be unlikely because the company is focused with the Android Silver program. However, Dave Burke revealed to ReadWrite that Google is not at all closed with the concept of delivering the new flagship.

"We are still invested in Nexus," he said.

If this is true at all, then the Nexus 6 aka X will come around late in October, a rumor that has been mentioned by several websites like Inferse and IBTimes.
