Google Nexus 8 Release Date Rumors: Nexus 7 Out of Stock, Nexus 8 Shipping to Stores?

Recent rumblings in the tech world indicated a new Android-run tablet from Google, a follow-up to the already successful Google Nexus 7, the Nexus 8.

Rumors of the device once again surfaced when the Nexus 7 was found "out of stock" in the Google Play Store. This brought out the speculation that Google will either refresh their stock or replace it with the Nexus 8. Along with the purported device, there's also an alleged Nexus 9 which is also rumored to come out.

A report by Phone Arena saying that the device will likely be unveiled in the Double Exposure event which will happen on October or November. But a more plausible information could be coming out from Google itself when they launch the Android L in October.

It must be noted, though, that Google hasn't yet released any announcement of a press conference or launching event.

Meanwhile PC Advisor said in their publication that HTC could be the possible manufacturing partner for the Nexus 8 and that it will move from the 7-inch spec to an 8-inch display.

As with its performance, reports indicated that the tablet will now have a 64-bit processor but not from Qualcomm's line of Snapdragon chipsets. It is rumored that Google will now opt for Intel's Moorefield which is reported to clock at 2.33GHz coupled with a PowerVR G6430 GPU.

It will also likely to arrive with an 8 MP camera and a 1.6 MP front snapper. More than that, Wall Street Journal pointed out that the purported device will also have an infrared depth sensor coupled with a next-gen software that promises to capture 3D images of objects.

As for the price, it will possibly be around $399 or $499, but those are also yet to be confirmed.
