GoPro Karma Drone Updates – 2016 Release; What It Looks Like, Features and Video Spoilers;

GoPro may have revealed the real image of their Karma drone from the movie trailer for "The Secret Life of Pets."

No one has ever seen an actual GoPro Karma Drone, outside its team of developers that is. But it looks like most drone fans missed a teaser that was released by GoPro for the animated film "The Secret Life of Pets." In the promotional trailer for the movie, a drone in flight was seen hovering above a fat animated dog and upon closer look, it resembles an actual Karma Drone.

Intentional move for GoPro

GoPro may have meant to tease fans as they posted The Secret Life of Pets video on their site. It could be clearly seen, right at the 0:25-second mark, that the GoPro Hero 4 was on the scene. It was attached to the animated pooch in the movie and an almost unidentifiable drone was above the pet.

Nope it's not the Karma Drone

Those that have seen the clip and have studied the exact frame the alleged GoPro drone was seen said that it was not the Karma Drone. Many claimed that it was GoPro's Solo drone but those that know GoPro products will immediately see that the place where the camera is attached to the drone is different. Some also said that the drone featured in the animated movie looked more compact than a Solo drone.

GoPro fans reveal the truth

Enthusiast Konrad Iturbe posted an image of the GoPro Karma on Twitter and placed a caption saying "GoPro, Karma, 2016:" The image was also posted to GoPro subreddit page but for some unknown reason, the image was quickly removed. Iturbe was able to save the image before it was removed.

Features of the Karma revealed

According to the lost image posted on Twitter and Reddit, the Karma looked pretty much like the drone in the movie trailer. It had a top-mounted gimbal with a Hero 4 camera however the arm blades as well as the drone legs looked a bit different.

Iturbe also revealed that the image that he posted on Twitter was from GoPro's server after he communicated with the person who first uploaded the image on Reddit. He said that he was also able to provide information about the GoPro software and hardware for the drone by digging through GoPro codes.

Leaked image may or may not be true

Up to now, there is still no official word from GoPro if the leaked image and the drone from the trailer is true. The only feature that fans know about the Karma drone is that it will be able to take 4K resolution quality video. There are also speculations that the model will be compatible with the Hero 4 Black and the soon to be released Hero 5.

GoPro announced that the Karma drone will be released later this year.
