"I become a regular in Season 2," he says. "So you'll see a lot more of me in Season 2, which we all hope happens."

The District Attorney will in fact be teaming with Gordon in more than once this season.

"I will be joining in for at least a couple episodes at some point in these last eight [of Season 1]," the actor revealed further, "but I don't know when."

As with his character, D'Agosto added that fans might also see the reasons that will eventually drove him to become his villainous alter ego.

"He puts himself in a position where he puts a lot on the line," the actor was quoted as saying. "Some of the things that come out of that foreshadow who he will eventually be."

As for the show's season renewal, few have been said about it. Although, as The Franchise Herald reported, the TV program has been "getting good reviews from different entertainment websites," they somehow fail at "the ratings game."

With still more than 10 episodes to look forward to, fans still have to wait for Fox to announce its decision to continue the crime busting saga for another season.

"Gotham" Season 1 airs every Mondays, at 8 p.m. on Fox.
