'Gotham' Season 1 Spoilers, Plot News: 3 Trailers Tease 'Welcome Back Jim Gordon' Episode

Returning from its winter break, Fox's hit crime fighting TV series pushes forward to reveal more intensely gripping events on the lives of the people in "Gotham."

Last week's episode featured James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) getting back his spot as a homicide detective at Gotham City Police Department after he successfully put a stop to Jack Gruber (Christopher Heyerdahl), an Arkham Asylum escapee.

"Rogues' Gallery" also showcased the extent to which Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) can do to bring down the much powerful Don Falcone (John Doman). Needless to say, her plans ultimately led to her downfall when the sneaky Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) told "The Roman" everything.

Forward to this week's segment, a series of sneak peeks teased a crippled Cobblepot rejoicing in his success, Gordon visiting an old friend in his new lair, and the young Batman (David Mazouz) returning from Switzerland.

The first video showed Penguin happily touring his mother Gertrud (Carol Kane) on Fish's former club.

"It's so beautiful; so classy, like an opera house!" Mrs. Kapelput exclaimed. The mother then asked her son to clarify about the ownership of the club.

"There's just a few loose ends to tie up, but soon it will be mine!" Penguin answered gleefully.

The next video meanwhile saw Gordon paying the Penguin a visit.

"I'm so very glad you called, Jim Gordon. It's been far too long since we've seen each other. I was beginning to think that you had forgotten about me," the new proud "owner" welcomed the police officer.

"I need a favor," Gordon went straight to the point, asking the informant for some information about a murder case he's been working on.

The third clip, meanwhile, saw the return on screen of David Mazouz as young Bruce. Fresh from his Switzerland trip, he gave Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) a gift; a snowglobe, reminiscent of the town he visited.

A synopsis for "Welcome Back, Jim Gordon," was posted on The Futon Critic and it reads:

"When the key witness in a homicide ends up dead while being held for questioning by the police, Gordon suspects that it's an inside job and looks to an old friend for information. Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot takes control of one of Fish Mooney's prized possessions, as she gets a gets a small taste of her own medicine."

"Gotham" episode 11 airs this Monday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. on Fox.
