'Gotham' Season 1 Spoilers, Recap: The Hunt for Dr. Crane Continues on 'The Scarecrow'

Last week's showing of the action-packed crime-fighting TV series "Gotham" introduced the serial killer Gerald Crane (Julian Sands) who targets people with severe cases of phobias and uses their particular fears to afflict them.

Dr. Crane happens to the father of the future Batman supervillain Jonathan Crane, who is also known as the Scarecrow.

Meanwhile, in Gotham's dark mob world, Don Maroni (David Zayas) finds out from Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) about Penguin's (Robin Lord Taylor) secrets. Out of disappointment, the Don had the crippled Cobblepot crushed in a salvage yard. However, the cunning Penguin managed to escape death and is now heading back to Gotham.
