'Gotham' Season 2 Episode 19 Spoilers: Gordon, Bruce Gets Too Deep; Hugo Strange Unleashes A Resurrected Galavan

After skipping a week, Fox's hit crime fighting drama TV series "Gotham" Season 2 returns with a brand new episode that will introduce a much stronger, more ruthless version of the previously-slain Theo Galavan. How will Jim Gordon and his friends fare with the latter?

According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode titled "Azrael," Gordon and Bruce Wayne will continue to stick their noses to find out more about the Project Chimera. In the previous episode, it was found that that the initiative was in fact, a brain child of Bruce's slain father. The goal then was benevolent: to help people who have disability live normally like everyone else. However, Professor Hugo Strange took over and assumed control of the whole operation. It has become tainted and is now producing some of the weirdest individuals like Karen Jennings, who got a claw for an arm.

Determined to put a stop on this madness, Bruce and Co will head down to Pinewood to confront Strange. The laid back psychologist, however, won't let down without a fight. He will derail Gordon and his team off their course by sending his latest monster yet, a resurrected Theo Galavan, who now calls himself, Azrael.

The promo clip for the episode shows that the new character is someone to be reckoned with as he helps himself enter the Gotham City Police Department, knocking everyone, even Commissioner Nathaniel Barnes, down to the ground. It would be interesting to find out how would Gordon deal with this new threat.

In another development, the video also teases Edward Nygma traversing the entirety of Arkham Asylum. It looks like the forensic scientist won't be sitting down during the course of his sentence and instead will want to find out more about the place. The TFC summary in fact said that he will investigate who this person Professor Strange really is.

Find out how these events unfold when "Gotham" Season 2 airs this Monday, May 2 at 8 on Fox.
