'Gotham' Season 2 News: Dr. Hugo Strange Takes Theo's Place

In the coming weeks, Fox's hit crime drama TV series and origins of the Batman story, "Gotham," will return to the airwaves for the second-half of its Season 2.

Details about Season 2B are still scarce as of the moment. This is except for the fact that the new chapter will be called "Wrath of the Villains."

While Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and his brave allies at the Gotham City Police Department risked their lives to take down Theo Galavan (James Frain) and his own company of vengeful heretics, the show teased what appears to be some questionable activities being done behind the closed doors of the Indian Hill facility.

In the new installment, it is expected that the things that have happened there will be revealed and one of the key figures in this new revelations is the highly anticipated DC Comics villain, Dr. Hugo Strange.

The character will be portrayed by "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" and Jurassic World" star BD Wong.

Over at TVInsider.com, an image of Wong as the mad doctor debuted, along with the actor's statement which teased the severity of his character's villainous actions.

"What [he] is doing in there is indeed very, very bad. Imagine the worst thing someone might do. Then multiply that by 10," the 55-year-old was quoted as saying.

The "very, very bad" things that Wong mentioned might include conducting horrendous experiments not only on the deceased but also on those who are severely incapacitated. One of the closing scenes revealed Bridgit Pike/ Firefly (Michelle Veintimilla) being rolled into the facility. Her terrified eyes hint that something awful is about to happen to her.

Theo and his dead cohort, Jerome Valeska (Cameron Monaghan) were also seen being wheeled into Indian Hill.

Wong, meanwhile, mentioned something about Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor). He teased that the mobster "is never the same from the moment he walks through the door," where he was probably referring to the doorway of the Arkham Asylum.

"Gotham" Season 2B returns Feb. 29 at 8/7c on Fox.
