GRAMMY Veteran Michael W.Smith Nominated

Multi-time GRAMMY-winning artist Michael W. Smith picked up his ninth career GRAMMY nomination Thursday, with his project Worship Again, in the Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album category alongside contenders Jars of Clay, Newsboys, Stacie Orrico, Michael W. Smith, and Third Day.

Worship Again was released in October 2002 and was more than well-received. The Billboard noted that the project “succeeds on all counts, deftly capturing the emotional essence of a powerful live event.”

Demonstrating he and is work is a product of the Gospel, Smith humbly accepts his nomination. Smith commented, “It sounds cliché to say ‘it’s an honor to be nominated,’ but it is. I don't really focus on ‘winning’ this, or any other award. I want to just stay true to what I am called to do. So, being nominated really is a nice reward in itself. I am grateful.”
