Grand Theft Auto 5 became the top selling video game for the second straight month, selling 1.1 million copies.

The game, developed by Rockstar, made $800 million on its first day and hit the $1 billion mark by day three. According to the NPD Group, those sales accounted for 15 percent of the games sold in October. GTA 5 sold 29 million copies globally in its launch month.

"The title received stellar reviews, shattered entertainment industry records, and has already sold-in nearly 29 million units to date," said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick according to Joystiq. "The extraordinary success of Grand Theft Auto V illustrates the positive momentum in our business and consumers' enduring appetite for the highest-quality interactive entertainment."

Grand Theft Auto 5 has a new DLC on the way called "Beach Bum" that will allow the gamers GTA Online character options to make him more beach-friendly.

According to Inquisitr, included will be different hairstyles, clothing options, and an option of new tattoos as well as new missions. Another DLC from Rockstar Studios will allow the gamer to create their own online missions. The DLC's will be available for free, according to Inquisitr.

Gamers have been awaiting GTA 5's PC release date, and now it is becoming a little clearer as a new AMD Catalyst driver is on its way.

The AMD Catalyst driver has a support of GTA5.exe, and this would suggest that a PC version is in the works as the .exe is coding for a computer coding extension. AMD drivers are for graphics cards on computers among other things.

Other rumors have listed a GTA 5 steam key to be preordered online, citing a summer 2014 release date, according to SidTech.

"The pre-orders tell us that those who pre-order will have to wait for summer next year for the release. We take the summer to mean somewhere between July and September 2014," the website describes. "You do have to take this with a pinch of salt as at the moment Rockstar have not spoken up about a released date. Personally we thought that that Rockstar would launch GTA 5 for the PC before we got to see it on the PS4 and Xbox One."
