Sadie Robertson, granddaughter of "Duck Dynasty" patriarch Phil Robertson, tweeted a message about her faith shortly after her grandfather was indefinitely suspended from the A&E reality show due to comments he made regarding homosexuality.

"Prayer is the best conversation of the day. It's better to go to God before taking it to someone else," the Robertson granddaughter tweeted shortly after A&E released a statement announcing its suspension of Robertson. It remains unclear, however, if Sadie's tweet had anything to do with her grandfather's suspension. Sadie is the 16-year-old daughter of Phil's son, Willie, and his wife, Kori.

A&E released a statement late Wednesday evening, announcing that it was "disappointed" in Phil Robertson's comments made in the January issue of GQ Magazine in which he described homosexuality as a sin. "We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson's comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series 'Duck Dynasty.'"

"His personal views in no way reflect those of A&E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely."

GQ Magazine had released Robertson's interview online on Wednesday morning. In the interview, Robertson makes statements about homosexuality that are in line with what many evangelicals believe to be accurate biblical teaching on the subject. "Everything is blurred on what's right and what's wrong. Sin becomes fine."

"Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men …Don't be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers – they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right."

Robertson was quick to clarify that he does not condone the judgment of others: "We never, ever judge someone on who's going to heaven, hell. That's the Almighty's job. We just love 'em, give 'em the good news about Jesus – whether they're homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort 'em out later, you see what I'm saying?"

Following the intense media backlash over his comments, A&E released a statement on behalf of Phil that read, in part: "I would never treat anyone with disrespect just because they are different from me. We are all created by the Almighty and like Him, I love all of humanity. We would all be better off if we loved God and loved each other."

Although Robertson has been criticized by many, including the pro-gay activist group GLAAD, he has also received support from influential leaders including La. Gov. Bobby Jindal and Russell Moore, president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. Additionally, several online petitions, including the "Stand With Phil" Facebook page, have been circulating the Internet calling on A&E to reinstate Phil to the show that has served as a ratings powerhouse for the A&E network.

Besides the initial quote released on behalf of Phil Robertson by the A&E network, the Robertson family has issued no official response to Phil's suspension.
