'Grey's Anatomy' Cast News, Update: Cast Member Says "Everyone Getting A Little Bit of Loving" in Season 12

According to one of the show's cast members, the upcoming 12th season of ABC's hit TV series "Grey's Anatomy" will be bringing some "brand new" feel into the McDreamy-less drama.

In an interview with People.com (via Entertainment Weekly), actor Jason George revealed that with "a lot of things that make it feel brand new," it seems like the medical drama itself is hitting the reboot button.

Further divulging the details with the media outlet, the actor who plays Dr. Ben Warren in the show, said that Season 12 "has the lightness and sense of humor that people fell in love with in the first place."

And another reason that fans should be really excited about is the fact that the new chapter is bringing "the sexy back on."

"There are a lot of people who are not in couples now and are falling into bed. Everyone's getting a little bit of loving," he further said to People at the Television Academy's Dynamic & Diverse Emmy cocktail party at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA, this week (via EW).

The change, for George, is apparently inevitable. He said that the show may have been on the small screen for 12 years but that doesn't it doesn't need some change.

"People think they want everything to stay the same and everyone to be happy, but happy people make for boring television, ultimately," he explained to the publication (via EW).

During the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, series creator and boss, Shonda Rhimes meanwhile gave off some details on what state will the fans find Meredith.

According to Rhimes, Ellen Pompeo's alter-ego is now "single and she's living this life that she never thought she would be living again." She now resides with her sisters and is surrounded with single women but are dating and having a "whole life." However, the protagonist won't be interested in that, at least temporarily.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is slated to premiere on Thursday, September 24 on ABC.
