'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 Spoilers, News: Jackson Might Turn to Faith for His and April's Baby

Last week's showing of the hit medical drama TV series "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 saw April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson (Jesse Williams) facing a dilemma about the fate of their unborn child.

Although it wasn't still determined of what type of osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disorder) their baby has, the newly married couple is bound to face a big decision which would certainly affect their relationship as well as the welfare of the upcoming child.

Fans may already know how outspoken April is about her faith in God. On the contrary, Jackson, a medical professional himself, would likely to put his trust on science and its empirical facts.

However, a report from Yahoo! TV News indicated that Jackson might change his ideals and turn to the higher power.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer and writer Shonda Rhimes admits Jackson and April's storyline is really a heart-tugging one.

"It's a really hard and ultimately beautiful story that Sarah Drew pitched to me that we're doing, which is a struggle between science and faith," Rhimes said.

"I'm really excited to tell it. Sarah plays it beautifully. It does have its spiritual uplifting moments where you actually feel peace for them, which is wonderful. It's a really hard story; I was like, 'I don't want to hurt this baby!' It's a really hard story but I think we ended up telling it in a way that really feels true, respectful and also honors a doctor who is struggling between science and faith."

A full synopsis for the upcoming episode was posted on The Futon Critic and it reads:

"After several discussions with Dr. Herman, April and Jackson must face their situation head on and make a difficult decision regarding their unborn child. Catherine arrives in Seattle and bumps into Richard at the hospital. Meanwhile, Meredith tries to find someone to take care of the kids so she can visit Derek for the weekend, and Amelia shows Stephanie some tough love when they work together on a case."

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 11 Episode 11 titled "All I Could Do Was Cry" airs this Thursday, Feb. 12, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
