Meanwhile, Walsh recently spoke with Hollywood Life about her sentiments toward the show. She stated, "It was a great role for me to play — I'm happy, and grateful and thrilled that I got to do it, but I did it for nine years, so for me, just as an actress, it's important to move on."

Even though she is moving on with her career, she did express her desire to work with Shonda Rhimes once again. She commended Rhimes for her series and stated that she was happy to have played the role of Addison. She also thanked fans for their support for her character.

Nevertheless, fans are still curious about Addison's fate on the series. Walsh explained that her character's future is up to what the writers and executive producers of the show will decide. She stated, "I have no idea! I relied on the mind of Shonda Rhimes and all the writers for so long that — who knows! She could be on her third husband, she could be still with Jake [Benjamin Pratt]. She could have, like, three more kids."

"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 is expected to return on ABC this Feb. 11.
