'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13: Amelia–Owen Marriage Heading Towards Heartbreaking Conclusion?

Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) may finally be forced to face her issues with husband Owen (Kevin McKidd) in the next episode of ABC's popular medical drama series "Grey's Anatomy."

A sneak peek for the upcoming 17th episode of season 13 teases a confrontation between the estranged couple who will be forced to face their own personal issues with each other in order to work effectively together on a trauma case. Earlier this season, Amelia left her husband with nothing but a letter that does not really talk much about her reasons for running away and going into hiding.

In the brief teaser, Owen finally takes his wife into a room and asks her once and for all if she ever plans to come back home to talk their problems through, or will she forever hide in plain sight of him at the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital, and pretend like nothing happened. The teaser leaves Amelia's answer hanging in the air. Will she finally be able to go back home and give her marriage with Owen a second chance, or will this scene lead to their relationship's eventual end?

In an interview with TV Guide, actress Scorsone said of her character, "There are so many layers to her, and I think Owen is maybe not the easiest person to talk to all the time."

Scorsone also urged their fans to keep rooting for Amelia and Owen to eventually work out the kinks in their relationship, as she herself has been hoping for a more favorable outcome for the two.

The upcoming episode titled "Till I Hear It From You" will also bring Maggie's (Kelly McCreary) mom, Diane (LaTanya Richardson Jackson), back to Grey-Sloan for reasons unknown to her daughter. Meanwhile, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) will try to reach out and mend her relationship with Richard (James Pickens Jr.).

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 17 airs on Thursday, March 23 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
