GTA 5 for PC Delayed Release Explained, News, Details: Game Needs 'Few Extra Weeks of Testing and Polish'

Much to the disappointment of fans, the much anticipated Windows PC version of Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto V" has once again delayed and is now slated for another launching date.

A report from Gamespot.com cited an announcement by the studio through its social site Rockstar Newswire this Tuesday that said the PC version of the open world, action-adventure video game will be launched this coming March 24.

The reason, as revealed by the game's official update website, pertains to the title's need for more testing and polishing.

"Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans," Rockstar said in a statement.

"Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March," the studio went on to say.

As found out in the announcement, the GTA Online for PC will support up to 30 players which will come along GTA V for PC. The version will also include the GTA Online Heists which is also reported to arrive in the coming weeks ahead of the PC version.
