'GTA 5 Online' Update, Latest News: New Patch Adds Tools to Stunt Race Creator

The newest update to "Grand Theft Auto Online," the multiplayer mode of Rockstar Games' widely-celebrated video game "Grand Theft Auto 5," is now available. Following the content add-on of last week's "Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit," this week's patch features several new tools for Stunt Race creation in the online game.

According to a report by Gamespot, the latest patch update went live in order to highlight the abilities of several vehicles in the online multiplayer game such as the Rocket Voltic, Ruiner 2000 and Blazer Aqua. To accomplish this, new props including boosts, hurdles and explosive crates have been added into the game.

Rockstar also reportedly said that the new Stunt Tubes "will send racers on a trip through alternative dimensions." Destructible walls will also be able to rattle up the race tracks should creators decide to use them in making new tracks.

The latest patch update also comes with a new car — the Hijak Ruston. The vehicle is described as a "lightweight and pint-sized addition to the Sports class." Its physical appearance makes it look like a kit car, but its design is intended to help gamers get close to the road.

Last week, Rockstar released the "Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit" content add-on for "GTA Online." It introduced 20 new Stunt Races custom built for the Ruiner 2000, Rocket Voltic and Blazer Aqua. A trailer to announce its launch was also unveiled online.

Aside from announcing the launch of the latest content add-on, the game publisher also revealed that more updates will be released for "GTA Online" in the coming weeks. Aside from the recent addition of new Stunt Race props to the Creator, new modes such as Resurrection and Top Down will also be introduced to the online multiplayer game in the near future.

A collection of highly-requested classic "GTA" rides, including a "morbid muscle car," will also be added to the game.

"Grand Theft Auto 5" was released more than three years ago, and remains to be one of the top-selling video games in recent years. The game has reportedly shipped as much as 75 million copies all over the world.
