GTA V PC Release Date Delay: Rockstar Explains Reasons Behind Delay
For the third time, the release for the Grand Theft Auto V for PC platform was once again delayed.
A report from Gamespot.com indicated that the outing is now pushed back to April 14.
"Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible," Rockstar said in their press release.
"The PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos," the company added.
To make up for the delay, those who have already placed their pre-orders of the sandbox game will get an additional $200,000 of in-game cash that they can use in GTA Online.
Adding that with the March 9 delayed release compensation which is $300,000 plus $500,000 for GTA V, as well as another half-million for the Online mode, PC players will be compensated for their troubles with a total of $1.5 million of in-game cash come April.
The studio however announced that the launch of Heists for GTA Online is March 10.
Heists will feature a brand new 4-player coop gameplay mode which gives "players the chance to team up to pull off a string of intense, multi-part raids and robberies across Los Santos and Blaine County."
Rockstar furthermore said that more information about the Heists launch will be disseminated in the "next couple of weeks."
